On Wednesday, October 3, volunteers joined the Environmental and Sustainability Committee for the 5th Adopt-A-Highway Event along TH 100 in Robbinsdale. The event was once again a huge success as 15 volunteers fought the wind and rain to clean up our Chapter’s roadway corridor. Amidst the trove of burst tires, rogue plastic bags, and abandoned fast food wrappers, $105 was found, proving it pays to volunteer! Richard McCoy even joined in the fun and was especially diligent to ensure volunteers left nothing behind.
The event was kicked off this year with a ceremonial testing of Outdoor Emergency Sirens and concluded with networking and refreshments at Wicked Wort Brewing Company.
Many thanks to our volunteers Matt Huggins, Michael Ryan, Monica Heil, Jake Newhall, Nick Guilliams, Lydia Ener, Emily Bowen, Alex Miller, Riley Dvorak, Nick Preisler, Greg Kufahl, Tyler McLeete, Deb Heiser, Erin McPhee Anderson, and Richard McCoy.
