Underground Utilities Construction Inspectors School

The Underground Utilities Construction Inspector School provides practical information to enable people with underground utility inspection responsibilities to expertly and confidently do their jobs. The instructors for each course topic are experienced professionals in each area.

LOCATIONS: Four options are available:

• PLYMOUTH, MN: Plymouth Community Center, 14800 - 34th Ave. North, Plymouth, MN 55447
• DULUTH, MN: City of Duluth, 411 W. First St., Duluth, MN 55802
• AMES, IA: Institute for Transportation, 2711 S. Loop Dr. #4700, Ames, IA 50010-8664
• VIRTUAL: This option is ONLY available for participants located more than 50 miles from Plymouth, Duluth or Ames

COST: $550/person

SCHEDULE: Eight sessions will be held for all course locations. All course locations will meet from 7:30 am - noon on the dates below.

COURSE SIZE: Each course is limited to 25 participants.

REGISTRATION WINDOW: Registration for all locations will open mid-May 2024 and will remain open until filled.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Register by September 26, 2024.

CEUs AND OTHER PROGRAMS: Participants who complete all sessions of the school will earn 3.2 CEUs. The UUCIS also qualifies for 16 contact hours toward MDH license renewal requirements and qualifies for 20 indirect contact hours with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
