The American Public Works Association - Minnesota Chapter’s Human Resource Essentials for Public Works Professionals (formerly the Advanced HR for Public Works Certificate) equips public works professionals to meet the challenges of managing personnel, employee contracts, and performance measurement. Covering a range of topics recommended by the American Public Works Association, this certificate program administered through Hamline University provides the knowledge and tools necessary to address the complex human resources issues you encounter.

Participants are eligible to earn graduate or continuing studies credit at Hamline University. Graduate-level elective credits may be earned and applied to the Master of Public Administration or the PhD in Management and Public Service. Additionally, elective credits may be earned and applied to the Master of Business Administration or Master of Nonprofit Management from the Leadership Communication Skills Certificate.
