Duluth Water Treatment Plant to host an “Infrastructure Walk”


SAINT PAUL, MN— Senators Ann Johnson Stewart (DFL-Minnetonka) and Jennifer McEwen (DFL-Duluth), in collaboration with the City of Duluth, Minnesota Chapter of the American Public Works (APWA), and Raise our Grade MN will be hosting an “Infrastructure Walk” of the Duluth Water Treatment Plant on Thursday, July 8, from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. 
 
All who are interested, please meet at the Lakewood Water Plant, located at 8310 Congdon Boulevard in Duluth at 10:00 a.m.  

This “Infrastructure Walk” will offer a firsthand look into how public works staff maintain the equipment and infrastructure to ensure safe drinking water to the City of Duluth. The tour will provide insight and information about where and how the City of Duluth gets its drinking water, how the water is treated, important considerations for expansion and maintenance, and the work involved to keep the infrastructure in good working order.
