Training Opportunity (free) - 5G Workshop

DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is working with Minnesota HSEM and CISA’s State, Local, Tribal, Territorial Government Coordinating Council member Mark Ray to put on a 5G workshop (two hours on 2 days) on November 18th and 19th. See Workshop Flyer 1 (Open Attendance) and Workshop Flyer 2 (Government Only) for the training agendas. A calendar Save the Date was sent out earlier.

This workshop will provide attendees with:

  • A better understanding of what 5G is (more than just faster speeds) and potential security implications
  • Updates on the current state of 5G buildout in Minnesota and future plans
  • Policy and legal considerations
  • Workplace safety considerations (for staff that may work around 5G antennas on water towers, street lights, etc.)
  • Insight into the efforts to expand internet access to close the digital divide

Registration is required for each session. Below are MN’s two registration links for the workshop.
