APWA Young Professional Spotlight

January 6, 2016

APWA Young Professional Spotlight
Alex Jordan, Project Engineer, City of Lakeville

Alex graduated from the University of Minnesota 4.5 years ago and has been working as an engineer in the Twin Cities ever since. Following graduation, Alex had a chance to work on the Dresbach Interchange Project design, which has been the “coolest” project he’s worked on since graduation.

Although already active with the APWA-MN chapter, we’re happy to announce that last year Alex joined the chapter’s Young Professionals Subcommittee as its newest chair member!

Alex lives in Savage with his wife, and the two are expecting their first child in early 2016. On the weekends, Alex likes to spend time outside with the family and root for the Gophers and the Chicago Bears…which is why you might be surprised to learn that he’s originally from Sheboygan, WI!

Alex shared that:

  • His favorite vacation to-date was  a trip to New Zealand.
  • His spirit animal is a chimpanzee.
  • The nerdiest thing about him is that he plays fantasy football.
  • If he ever started a new career he would be a real estate agent, because he would get to work with a lot of people and would always stay busy.

Thanks for sharing a little bit about yourself, Alex!
