Originally from the Mille Lacs Lake area, Phil Gravel, age 51, has worked for Stantec for 27 years and has been an active member of the APWA-MN Chapter for 20 years.

He identified the recent I-35E/Cayuga project in St. Paul as one of the more challenging public works project he has worked on, and noted that he particularly enjoyed being involved with the planning of the construction staging options.

He also is a big fan of the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Minnesota, and works with a professional advisory board for the department helping to process the annual Bonestroo Rosene Anderlik and Associates student scholorships.

Favorite Vacation: Ixtapa Mexico in 2003

Hobbies: Likes to work on house/yard projects, watch baseball and travel. Phil spends a day or two a month doing volunteer work for a hospital.
