The shotgun fires on the 42nd Annual APWA-MN Chapter Summer Golf Classic at Bunker Hills Golf Club in less than 48 hours from now. We are very excited to have 192 golfers participating this year!
The weather is forecasted to be a beautiful day with mostly sunny skies and a high of 86 degrees.
Below are very important details that we ask you to read ahead of time to be prepared.
- LOCATION: Bunker Hills Golf Club, 12800 Bunker Prairie Drive, Coon Rapids, MN 55448-1445. Phone is (763) 755-4141.
- CHECK-IN: Please check-in between 10:00am-11:45am at the registration table located in the Simulator Room inside the Bunker Hills Event Center. Carts will be arranged and marked for easy identification of who is assigned to them. Please review the attached team starting hole assignments sheet. Tournament rules and other helpful information will also be posted on the steering wheel of each cart.
- WARM UP: Hone your skills at the complimentary putting green practice area or visit the clubhouse to purchase a bucket of balls and hit the driving range (trust me, your teammates will thank you).
- PRE-GOLF CONCESSIONS: Food and beverage will be available for purchase at Mully’s Patio.
- WHO AM I PLAYING WITH??? Most of you have a set foursome who you registered to play with, but for those who registered as singles, all foursome rosters are posted above.
- TEE-OFF: This year’s event is a Shotgun start at NOON!
- SCORING: Bunker Hills uses the Golf Genius app for tournaments. This app will be required to participate in the tournament play for prizes. We recommend at least one person from each foursome download the app and enter scores throughout the tournament. Please review the following instructions for guidance on using the app.
- Download the Golf Genius app (Golf Genius Software, LLC) to your phone prior to arriving.
- Sign in using the GGID code assigned to your group, which is featured on the roster sheet at the Chapter website (link above). This code will also be printed on the team card that is on your golf cart, so please look for it upon your arrival.
- Your team members will be shown. Tap on your name to get started.
- Verify your starting hole is correct. If it is not, navigate to the correct hole.
- Be sure to enter your team’s score after each hole.
- Use the pull-down menu in the upper left corner to access live leaderboards, view pairings, etc.
- If you need further assistance, check in with us at the registration table as you are setting up.
- SKINS, MULLIGANS & PUPIL’S PROCEEDS: We will still be offering cash purchase to participate in the skins game, mulligans, and Pupil’s Proceeds. One purchase per team for any of these games is all that is necessary.
- Skins ($20/team) - Purchase of skins will result in a cash payout to the team that posts the lowest unique score on a hole. The winning team will receive the entire skins pot, up to a maximum $500, with the remaining proceeds donated to the Chapter Scholarship Fund. In the event of a tie (no unique low score on any hole), skins will not be awarded, and the skins pot will be donated to the Chapter Scholarship Fund.
- Mulligans ($20/team) - purchase of mulligans offers two team-mulligans to be used during the round, good for a “do-over” by the entire team for two separate shots.
- Pupil’s Proceeds ($20/team) – purchase of Pupil’s Proceeds offers the team an automatic birdie on pre-determined holes if the team reaches the green in regulation (i.e., if any part of your ball is touching the putting surface and the number of strokes taken is at least two fewer than par). Money raised from this event will be donated to the Chapter Scholarship Fund.
- POST-GOLF DINNER AND AWARD CEREMONY: Immediately following golf, join us in the event center ballroom for cash bar and a pulled pork or pulled chicken dinner. The awards ceremony will begin at approximately 5:30pm where a number of great prizes will be distributed.

IMPORTANT NOTES
>>> Before you begin the registration process, you will need the names of those in your foursome, your team name and the APWA membership number of at least one member of your foursome.
- If registering a foursome, you must enter your team name at the time of registration.
- The individual names of those in your foursome must be entered at the time of registration. No "to be determined" is allowed.
- If you select "foursome," you will see four sections: Registrant #1, Registrant #2, etc. For each registrant, enter each golfer's name and team name and choose the member or non-member rate.
- If you are registering individually but wish to participate on a foursome, you must enter the team name of your foursome at the time of registration.
- If you are registering as an individual and do not have team mates or a full foursome, you will be paired with others by event organizers.
- Each foursome must be registered in a separate registration. To register additional foursomes, complete additional registrations.
- A single organization may register a maximum of 8 foursomes through June 30. If space remains after June 30, additional teams and individuals will be allowed to register,
- To register more than one individual in a single registration session, select "Add Additional Registrant" at the bottom of the registration page.
- An APWA membership number is required to register at the member rate.
- Each foursome must have at least one current APWA-MN member.
- Priority will be given to registrations meeting all registration requirements in the order they are received.
