On Thursday, May 2, the APWA-MN’s Environment & Sustainability Committee once again put a team together to clean up Highway 100 in Robbinsdale between 36th Avenue North and Bottineau Boulevard. The Adopt-A-Highway event keeps the roadways clear and prevents pounds of waste and debris from contaminating the roads and waters.
There were 21 volunteers from cities and local businesses who collected bags worth of trash alongside the popular thoroughfare. With the help of MnDOT’s Truck Station in Golden Valley, all trash and debris were cleared without incident.
As always, the event was filled with conversation and stories proving these events not only build the Minnesota Chapter of the APWA but provide an avenue for connecting with other members and serving the community.
Thanks to all participants for another feel-good event!
Volunteer team hard at work!
