2021 MN Fall Conference & Workshop – A Vendor Perspective

Article submitted by Mike Purdy, APWA-MN Director-Vendor/Contractor, MacQueen Equipment, Inc.

Every year as the weather turns cold, leaves fall to the ground, and days get shorter there are a couple of “events” that not only do I look forward to but signal the start of a change to a new Winter season; Tailgating at a Gopher football game, Halloween trick-or-treating with my family, and of course, attending the annual MN Fall Conference at the Earl Brown Heritage Center. I have always relished the memories of attending the exhibit day, reception, and off-site networking event over the years and it has served as an important “benchmark” of the year.

So, you can imagine how welcoming it felt to attend the event this year after the 2020 digital format.

Judging by the attendance and conversations with friends and associates, I do not think my positive feelings towards this event are isolated. 2021 welcomed over 400 attendees, and almost 40 vendors participated with personnel and booths set up in the Exhibit section. This strong support has always been a staple of the MN Chapter, and the networking and knowledge shared were truly enjoyed by all.

By all accounts, the 21’ Fall Conference was an outstanding success, and on a personal level, this event brought reassurance to our future and success together!
