On July 13, a record 184 golfers made the mid-summer pilgrimage to Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids for the 35th annual APWA-Minnesota Chapter Summer Golf Classic, which resulted in more than $1,600 raised towards the scholarship fund.

Mother Nature and the chapter’s Platinum and Gold corporate sponsors provided a near-perfect environment for the popular outing. Thanks again to all the sponsors for their unique contributions to the event. The games at the tee boxes, the refreshments provided on a warm summer day, and the door prizes at the banquet were all made possible by their donations.

While the event is all about fun and fellowship, we would be remiss to not mention the winning foursome of Mike Marti, Tony Winiecki, Josh Maus, and Ted Schoenecker who collectively posted a score of 14 under par. Their names will be immortalized on the event trophy, which will proudly be on display at the Fall Conference.
