Spring Conference

The APWA-MN Spring Conference is held annually in central Minnesota. The conference is typically a three-day event focused on leadership and management education and networking and offers hours towards professional continuing education requirements.

Over 200 attendees gathered May 11-13 at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa for the 2022 Spring Conference, enjoying a return to the chapter’s long-standing spring conference venue after a three-year hiatus. From the opening keynote featuring NASA astronaut and US Navy salvage diver Heide Stefanyshyn-Piper to the closing education session on Pandemics and Public Works, attendees benefitted from the expertise and experience of many outstanding presenters and interesting topics.

The weather was uncooperative this year. The chapter service project, landscaping projects at the nearby Northland Arboretum, was canceled due to thunderstorms. Despite rain and thunderstorms each evening, attendees still enjoyed traditional evening social events and networking.
