Technical Tour - City of Ramsey’s Public Works Maintenance Facility

The APWA-MN Chapter Membership & Events Committee invites you to join us for a technical tour of the City of Ramsey’s Public Works Maintenance Facility! Hosted by the City of Ramsey and Oertel Architects, the tour will be led by Grant Riemer, Public Works Superintendent, and staff from the Design firm, Oertel Architects

This new $15M, 93,000 SF facility is a state-of-the-art Public Works Maintenance Facility that will allow city staff to serve Ramsey's growing and developing community for years to come. The new facility replaces a "temporary" double-wide trailer that served as PW staff's headquarters for 20 years and two separate, smaller industrial buildings that were not designed to house and service Public Works equipment. The new building has been tailored to the City's operations and is the initial construction project on a Municipal Services Infrastructure Campus, that will soon also include a Water Treatment Plant, the first and only in the City of Ramsey. Grant Riemer, Public Works Superintendent, will talk about the department's previous working conditions, the process to plan and execute this new facility, and talk about features and efficiencies built into the new facility.
