Final Tour - St. Croix Crossing Project

Final Tour - St.Croix Project!

Final Tour – St. Croix Crossing Project!

The Chapter is pleased to announce we have coordinated one last tour of the St. Croix Crossing project before this monumental piece of transformative infrastructure opens to traffic later this summer. Connecting Oak Park Heights and Stillwater, MN with St. Joseph and Houlton, WI via Highway 36, this project has been decades in the making. Under construction since 2013, the new $646 Million St. Croix Crossing will replace the 80-year old Stillwater Lift Bridge as the primary crossing of the St. Croix River for vehicular traffic between Minnesota and Wisconsin, north of Interstate 94.

The on-site walking tour of this unique, extradosed style bridge will be held on Thursday, June 29, beginning at 1:30 pm. Following the tour, participants are welcome to gather at a local establishment in nearby downtown Stillwater for a social hour. There is no cost for the tour; however, the tour event is limited to 30 registrants. During the tour, participants must wear both hard hats and reflective vests. Tour organizers will have some spare safety items available, but participants are highly encouraged to bring their own to ensure coverage.

Please email Nick Egger to reserve your spot. Reservations will be taken up through Tuesday, June 27.

Thank you, and we hope to see you there!
